Hetalia: Bundeswehr and NVA

Another Picture I drew in school, lol (colored at home, obviously).

I had nothing to do i russian lessons and since the idea of drawing Ludwig and Gilbert in Bundeswehr and NVA uniforms was stuck in my brain quite a while... yeah.

Unfortunately our teacher had to bring three american exchange students with him and me and my neighbour were like "oh shi..." because maybe they would think we germans are still crazy about militarism and uniforms and stuff if they see the picture ='D (and the NVA uniform could be easily mistaken for a certain other uniform from far).
But I believe they didn't see it.

They were only with us for 10 minutes anyways and they had to tell us a little about themselves.
The two girls said they're attending a cosmotology school. Seriously, I have no idea what it is, it sounds like some sect Oo. But apparently it has something to do with cosmetics or what
The guy was kinda cool. My neighbour and I went all because he used the word "awesome".
I like the sound of the word or more specifically the way americans pronounce it

The Bundeswehr ("Federal Defense Force") is the name of the unified armed forces of the Federal Republic of Germany (Bundesrepublik Deutschland).
The Nationale Volksarmee (NVA,"National People’s Army") was the military of the German Democratic Republic.

As you see the uniform of the nva heavily resembles the uniform of the Wehrmacht ("Defense Forces" of Nazi germany) while the Bundeswehr Uniform has retained a form of field grey for dress wear though of modern cut and worn with berets. The collar braid stripes ("Litzen"), that distinguished regiments of the Prussian Guard prior to 1918, have become a general feature of modern German uniforms (also visible on the NVA uniform).
The NVAs' ceremonies were patterned after older German (esp. prussian) military traditions.
The Bundeswehr does not follow the traditions of any former German military organisation.

I find it funny that the NVA Uniform looks like the Wehrmacht Uniform considering the fact that the DDR had to suffer under dictatorship, too. Was it like a hint lol?.

I have to admit that the NVA uniform looks hotter to me (maybe because it looks like the wehrmacht uniform D= ).

God, considering all these facts Prussia being DDR doesn't seem that off at all ='D... I wonder: did Himaruya know all this stuff or was it a coincidence?

FYI: Axis Powers Hetalia is basically a Webcomic/Manga/Anime where the characters are personificated countries who represent historical events in short comic strips.
